CBF 2018
« Financing Small and medium-sized Enterprises - Cameroon’s Industrial Fabric.» This was the theme of the 9th edition of Cameroon Business Forum presided over/ chaired by His Excellency the Prime Minister Philemon Yang last Monday March 12 at Sawa Hotel Douala
The Cameroon Business Forum is a platform for dialogue put in place more than 10 years ago as a point of convergence where actors of the public and private sectors share views and work for the improvement of the business climate in Cameroon. This also included discussions on transborder trades where many stakeholders at the port took part including GUCE, the electronic stop-shop for External Trade Transactions..
Among the list of recommendations arrived at during the last 2017 edition in the above sector many projects have been realized, notably the creation of special electronic procedures of external trade known as e-Force, the creation of a Trade Portal for exchange of commercial information, and to operate a technical Administrations information system (known as SIAT).
However, the real challenge to link up logistics in 2018, will feature around two major projects namely; operating an electronic control point at the exit or way out of Douala Port and the creation of a mobile system of payment by June 2018 through their electronic platform, e-GUCE.
